Everyone’s ears produce wax, it’s a perfectly natural process and there is a good reason for it. Apart from lubricating the ear the wax helps to stop small particles from reaching, and possibly damaging, your eardrums. Unfortunately the wax, which under normal circumstances dries and falls out of your ear taking any debris with it, can sometimes become trapped too deeply in your ear canal and continue to build up. Eventually the blockage will stop you from hearing normally and the wax will need to be removed.
After an initial case history otoscopic examination Shindler will explain what he has found and how he intends to treat you. You will be able to see exactly what he has seen thanks to the use of video equipment. Should your hearing loss not be caused by a wax build up he will be able to advise you on what to do next.
After treatment Shindler will also advise you on how you may reduce the production of ear wax.
